The Fondation Jérôme Seydoux–Pathé a spectacular free-form building in Paris was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award.


This Award is given by the European Union and the “Fundació Mies van der Rohe, Barcelona” to acknowledge and reward quality architectural production in Europe. It is the most renowned European Architecture Award, given biennially and endowed with 60,000 Euro.

The nominated building “Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé” is the new Foundation HQ and film archive of one of the oldest companies in the film industry. The amorphous building envelope, formed using approx. 7,500 curved perforated aluminium lamellas, was completely planned, manufactured and installed by FRENER & REIFER.
