Moatti & Riviére
FRENER & REIFER has completed its first building on the Côte d'Azur! The JW Marriott hotel in Cannes reopened right on time for the 74th edition of the famous Film Festival. The renovation and extension of the luxury hotel created a unique contemporary building at the heart of the action on the Croisette. The hotel refurbishment was designed by the Paris-based French architects Moatti-Rivière. FRENER & REIFER worked with facade engineers RFR Structure et Enveloppe for the client Jesta Fontainebleau.
Our scope of work on the French Riviera included 1,000 m² of glass facades, approx. 400 m² of which were in complex curved double glazing, a stainless steel structure, interior trades in Corian and Corian effect aluminium panels. Preparatory work included a 4.5 m high mock-up showing the transition from vertical to double-sided curved insulating glazing with a 6 m cantilevered canopy, covered with Corian and glazed. The client approved and now Cannes has an all-year-round attraction!
