Following the visionary green facade of Kö-Bogen II , FRENER & REIFER will realize another spectacular building envelope in the centre of Düsseldorf.

Joachim-Erwin-Platz is a junction with one of the highest pedestrian frequencies in Düsseldorf. One of its landmarks for many years was a 1955/1956 building housing the Alte Leipziger insurance company, which stood out amongst its neighbours by Daniel Libeskind and others. Now the insurance company, as the owner, has decided to erect a hotel and commercial building on the site while setting a new architectural accent in Düsseldorf's city centre.

The design of the elegant new building with its highly transparent glass facade is by one of the best architectural offices in Germany: ingenhoven architects.

FRENER & REIFER has been commissioned with the technical design, fabrication and installation of the entire building envelope in glass, metal, wood and aluminium

Construction work is already in full swing and completion of the work is scheduled for spring 2023.
