FRENER & REIFER SUPPORTS BOOK PROJECT: EXPERIMENTS - DIGITALLY DESIGNED ARCHITECTURE
Tobias Walliser & Martin Schroth presented their book project at The Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart.
The authors presented the book "Experiments - Digitally Designed Architecture" together with the publisher Petra Kiedaisch as part of the lecture series Jour Fixe. Exemplary work by the "Innovative Construction and Spatial Concepts / Digital Design" class was also presented.
FRENER & REIFER supports the book project as well as the lecture series of the Academy. The primary objective for FRENER & REIFER is to make use of the opportunities offered by the digital process chain.
Methods of cooperation and potentials for success have already been explored with "Computational Design" professors and students in an experimental setting at the "FRENER & REIFER Workshop - Digital to Metal" in South Tyrol in 2009. Playful hands-on handling of metal as a material is designed to contribute to overcoming any timidity felt by upcoming architects and experienced specialist metalworkers regarding the use of digital tools.
