SCOPE OF WORK

Modular façade with structural glazing, panel infilling, suspended sheet metal caissons. Point-fixed glass façade, suspended from vertical glass fins, parapet façings, sun/glare protection, glass doors. Staircases, various sheet metal cladding, glass roof and fan-coils.

INNOVATIONS
AND CHALLENGES

Load-bearing glass fins. Custom-made stainless steel guides for the showroom sun/glare screens, integrated into point-fixing. Low-maintenance office tower façade construction. (Sheet metal panels with Stucco Veneziano).

Worked in the office of Kunio Mayekawa, a former colleague of Le Corbusier. Dissertation: Redevelopment of the City of Tokyo. Own practice since 1946. Kenzo Tange Associates since 1985. One of the world's elite architects. Committed to Western modernism and Japa-nese building tradition.
